In early June 2015, About.com reached out to our co-founder Dennis Najjar to discuss the opportunity for taking on a new project they were formulating under the Money Channel. As you may imagine, we were both thrilled and flattered to be considered for the opportunity. Previously without an Accounting Channel, About.com was looking for an Accounting Expert to take on the entire responsibility of creating content and cultivating the channel. The timing was absolutely perfect as Dennis and AccountingDepartment.com had spent years growing a base of education to support business owners and entrepreneurs and were primed for taking on such a tremendous and exciting endeavor.
After discussing the new channel, Dennis decided he was up for the challenge and the new About.com Accounting channel officially went live last week on July 16, 2015.
