All AccountingDepartment.com clients and employees work is performed on the servers in a SAS 70, Type II Certified data center. 

Facility

  • SAS 70, Type II Certified.
  • 24x7x365 on-site management.
  • Restricted access and continuously monitored surveillance.
  • Self-contained, redundant climate control and fire suppression.
  • UPS-redundant battery back-up with diesel generator for prolonged local power outages.
  • 12-inch thick poured concrete walls.
  • Reinforced earthquake-resistant ceiling.
  • Three-foot raised flooring for under-floor cooling and ventilation.

Insurance

Procedure

  • Server snapshot every 3 hours held for 5 days for shared data.
  • Server snapshot every 24 hours as a separate process as the 3 hour snapshot and held for 5 weeks.
  • Entire server farm is backed up nightly to disk held for 2 weeks.
  • The nightly disk backups produced the last week of the month will be backed up to tape. The tape is stored off site in a fire proof vault. Monthly backups are kept for a year after which they are backed up into yearly tape.
  • The monthly tapes are compiled into a yearly tape backup at the end of the year. These tapes are stored off site in a fire proof vault. These annual backups are held for 3 years.
