MFA is enabled across our technology platforms, communication tools, and computers, so a password alone is never enough to get in.
Devices
Company-owned, managed computers
Every computer our team works on is owned and managed by AccountingDepartment.com. Your data is never handled on personal devices.
Platforms & hosting
Secure cloud platforms
Most client work runs in secure cloud accounting platforms. The limited data we host is kept with Right Networks in a SOC-audited data center.
Backups
Encrypted and backed up
Hosted data is encrypted in transit and backed up on a regular schedule, from hourly backups to annual archives kept for three years.
Coverage
Insured for your protection
We carry professional liability (E&O) insurance and employee dishonesty (crime) coverage.
Confidential from the first conversation
Before we review any of your accounting data, we send a one-way non-disclosure agreement that protects you and your financial information. From there, your data is treated as strictly confidential: access is limited to the team members who need it for your account, and your information is never shared with third parties without your permission.
