Pricing
A fixed monthly fee, sized to your business.
Before you look at price
What is your bookkeeping problem actually costing you?
Hint: it's not what you're paying for your accounting.
The real cost of messy or unreliable books never shows up on an invoice. It shows up everywhere else.
- Your own timeEvenings and weekends spent on the books instead of running the business.
- TurnoverEvery time someone on your accounting team leaves: recruiting, retraining, and months of catch-up.
- Money left on the tableUncaught overcharges, duplicate payments, and vendor credits nobody claimed.
- Penalties and missed filingsLate sales tax or 1099 filings and lapsed coverage that cost more than getting it right.
- Decisions made on the wrong numbersPricing, hiring, and growth calls based on reports you can't fully trust.
- Failed audits and stalled dealsCleanup before a loan, an audit, or a sale, and lost credibility with lenders, investors, or a DCAA auditor.
None of these show up on an invoice. All of them show up in your results.

How pricing works
How much does AccountingDepartment.com cost?
Every engagement is one fixed monthly fee, set after a CPA reviews your books. As a general guide, engagements start at about $1,500 per month for Essential bookkeeping, $3,500 per month for Core (a full accounting department with controller oversight), $5,500 per month for Complete (adding CFO advisory), and $8,500 per month for Pinnacle (executive-level CFO leadership). Advisory Only engagements are priced by scope. Your fee reflects your actual scope.
What determines my monthly fee?
Transaction volume, the number of bank and credit card accounts, entities and locations, payroll, invoicing, sales tax, the condition of your books, and the level of controller and CFO support you need. Structure and compliance requirements, such as multiple entities, DCAA, or audit readiness, matter more than revenue alone.
Do you offer controller or CFO services without bookkeeping?
Yes. Advisory Only provides Controller Services Only or CFO Advisory Only on top of your existing accounting team. It works best when your internal team keeps accurate, current books. If that becomes a challenge, we can take on the full accounting function too. Advisory Only is priced by scope, as one fixed monthly fee.
Do you bill hourly?
No. Every tier is one fixed monthly fee, so you know what you'll pay each month, with no hourly billing.
Can I change tiers as my business grows?
Yes. Clients start where they are today and move up as they add entities, locations, or forecasting needs, with the same team and without switching providers.
What's included in every tier?
A dedicated team of full-time W-2 professionals, a monthly financial reporting package, dashboards and fintech support, and coordination with your CPA and tax advisors.
How does the cost compare with hiring in-house?
An in-house accountant or controller means a salary plus benefits, payroll taxes, overhead, recruiting, and training, and coverage stops when that person is out or leaves. AccountingDepartment.com provides a full team, including controller and CFO support when you need it, for one fixed monthly fee.
How do I get an exact price?
Request a quote. After a demo and a CPA review of your books, you'll receive a fixed-fee proposal, with no obligation.
Not sure which service fits?
We'll recommend one after a CPA reviews your books, so the fee reflects your actual scope, not a guess.
