Every year AccountingDepartment.com donates a portion of its revenue to Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation (AHCF). Once a year, we reach out to family, friends, clients and colleagues to help assist in the fundraising efforts. No amount is too small, no assistance is too little and any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated.

At AccountingDepartment.com, we pride ourselves on our attention to detail, on monitoring and managing those rare but oh-so-critical minutiae, and on orchestrating even the most specific of processes down to its smallest steps. This ethos defines our company but it extends even further than accounting. On Giving Tuesday, we recognize this culture through our philanthropic efforts, as we sound a call for everyone to join together to support often overlooked but extremely important rare diseases.
Specifically, AccountingDepartment.com supports fundraising and awareness missions to support the Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation. Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood is a disease so rare that it affects only about 800 children in the entire world, of which one of whom is our co-founder Bill Gerber's son Sean. Characterized by causing episodes of complete paralysis lasting for varying durations (sometimes days), and often beginning within the first few months of life, this disease's impact on quality of life is severe. Because this disease is so rare, it is often overlooked in philanthropic missions, resulting in poorly funded research and delayed advancements in treatment.
